In conjunction with our local Park, California State Parks and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, Anza-Borrego Foundation has kicked off a major Leave No Trace Initiative to promote wilderness ethics and basic Leave No Trace principles to help care for and protect our beautiful Park. With activities limited during the COVID-19 pandemic, outdoor public spaces have been essential for many of us. Based on visitation statistics by California State Parks, we are expecting a surge in visitation during the upcoming season, particularly from first-time visitors not familiar with basic best practices for recreating outdoors. In conjunction with our local Park and California State Parks, ABF has taken the lead to kick off a major Leave No Trace (LNT) Initiative to promote wilderness ethics and basic LNT principles to help care for and protect our beautiful Park. The effort will highlight ABF’s strong partnership with the Park and a new partnership with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics in Colorado.
